Holidays To Zanzibar is an independent guide, not a tour operator or a booking agent. We do not sell tours, take payment or handle bookings. Every package in our Tours section is created, priced and run by a separate licensed operator, and any booking is made directly with them.
We gather these trips in one place so you can compare durations, prices and styles before you approach anyone. When a trip fits, you deal with the operator directly, they confirm availability, the exact day-by-day itinerary, what is and is not included, and the final price for your dates and group.
How to choose a tour operator
- Check they are licensed. Mainland operators should hold a Tanzanian TALA licence and ideally belong to TATO; Zanzibar operators should be registered with the Zanzibar Commission for Tourism.
- Read recent, independent reviews on SafariBookings, Tripadvisor and Google, not only the testimonials on an operator’s own website.
- Get the inclusions in writing. Park and conservation fees, transfers, internal flights, meals and the exact accommodation should all be itemised before you pay a deposit.
- Be wary of quotes far below the rest. Park fees are fixed by the authorities, so a price well under the market usually means a corner is being cut somewhere.
- Pay traceably and keep every confirmation. Be cautious of anyone asking for full payment by an untraceable method.

Prices shown across this site are indicative “from” per-person starting prices published by the operators, and they change with season, group size and accommodation. Always confirm the current price directly with the operator before booking.
